Tombs of Sultans
The Tombs of the Sultans are located in the Eyüp district of Istanbul, Turkey. They are the final resting place of 19 Ottoman sultans, as well as their wives, concubines, and children. The tombs were built in the 15th and 16th centuries and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tombs are arranged in a rectangular courtyard, with the sultans' tombs in the center and the women's tombs on the sides. The tombs are all made of marble and are decorated with intricate carvings and mosaics. The courtyard is also home to a mosque, a library, and a museum. The Tombs of the Sultans are a popular tourist destination and are a reminder of the Ottoman Empire's power and influence.
Topkapı Palace is closed on Tuesdays.
