On this tour, in addition to seeing the marvels of theTurkish Mediteranean coast, you will spend your nights in three different locations.
DAY 1: ANTALYA AIRPORT > HOTEL
Your journey will begin with a comfortable flight to the sunny south. Your guide, who is going to escort you throughout your whole journey, will be waiting for you at Antalya airport. Upon your arrival in your hotel you'll find a welcome cocktail and the information for the whole week.
DAY 2: ALANYA
This day will be an excursion to Alanya, a city that has been inhabited since the early ages. Your first visit will be to the Damlatas Cave, which is believed to have healing properties. Afterwards, you will take a walk down from Alanya Castle; watching the awesome panorama. Then you will be heading to the harbor where you can enjoy a 13th century shipyard, from the days of the Selçuk Empire. On your way back to your hotel you will cross through beautiful banana fields.
DAY 3: ASPENDOS, MANAVGAT
On this day, you will visit the antique city Aspendos. The city's history goes back to 1000 BC, and many historians link it the Greek sailors of the Argos. Though that it has later been a part of the Roman Empire, Aspendos always kept its Hellenistic heritage; and that can be seen in the design of the city's theater. With a capacity of 7.000 people, the theater is so well preserved that it is being used even today on a regular basis.
Next, you will find a village by the orange fields, where people still live as they used to do 50 years ago. In these villages you can experience the authentic atmosphere for yourself.
Afterwards you will enjoy an adventurous boat cruise on the Manavgat River to see the pelicans and the turtles play. This cruise will take you to the opening of Mediterranean Sea where you will enjoy a barbecue party. You can take a walk along Manavgat riverside, the perfect way to digest your lunch. Then you'll be transferred to your hotel for the night.
DAY 4: ANTALYA > PAMUKKALE, HIERAPOLIS
Following your breakfast you will be transferred to Hierapolis (Pamukkale). On your way to Pamukkale you will visit the largest jewelry plant in Balkans, where raw gold is turned into delicately crafted jewellery.
The Pamukkale roadtrip will give you the opportunity to know people and their unique traditions, and beautiful small cities, like Isparta, the town of roses. In the afternoon you'll arrive in Pamukkale, a natural site that is created by hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water.
The ancient city of Hierapolis was built on top of the white "castle" which is nearly 9 thousand feet long and more than 500 feet wide. This amazing sight can be seen even from 15 miles away on a clear day.
You will visit the Cotton Castle itself (feel free to dip your feet in the small lakes along the way!), the ancient Hierapolis, the Necropolis, the Roman Baths and the Theatre. Overnight and dinner on this day of the tour will be at a hotel at the Pamukkale region.
DAY 5: TAURUS MOUNTAINS > KEMER
On the journey back to Antalya, which will take you across the legendary Taurus mountains, you will have a chance to see the lifestyle of Yörük, Turkish nomadic highlanders. You will also have a visit to a visit to one of the major production centers of famous Turkish carpets, woven traditionally by unmarried "Yörük" girls; and also a short break on a volcano lake will follow right after, and finally in the afternoon you'll reach Antalya for dinner and overnight stay at Kemer, a beautiful seaside town.
DAY 6: KEMER > MYRA, ST. NICHOLAS
After a journey along Turkey's most beautiful coast line you will reach the birth place of Santa Claus. The legend of Santa Claus is built around the life and miracles of an early Christian, Saint Nicholas named "The Wonder maker", for many miracles that were attributed to his intercession, he is also known as Nicholas the Wonderworker. He had a reputation for secret gift-giving, such as putting coins in the shoes of those who left them out for him, and thus became the model for Santa Claus.
You will visit the Myra ancient city (Demre today) and the church of Saint Nicholas. Then, as you travel to Kekova you can observe interesting Lykian rock graves. Here on the crystal clear, turquoise sea we will enjoy a cruise over the ancient sunken city Kekova where the ancient roman bath and the ancient harbor are still to be seen. The Lykian rock graves can also be seen during this cruise. Then in the evening, you will return to your hotel for another overnight in Kemer.
DAY 7: KEMER > ANTALYA
Right after breakfast, you will visit Antalya, the biggest city of Mediterranean region. You will also see the ancient city Perge (free light museum), which once where the trading and political center, includes an area of ruins with a stadium in it, a Hellenistic gate and an agora.
Then you will visit the great botanic garden with its outstanding falls and the old watermill nearby. Here you can enjoy a walk through beautiful plants. After having your lunch you will be taken to the famous oriental vegetable, fruit, spice and textile market. Another overnight in the Kemer region.
DAY 8: HOTEL > ANTALYA AIRPORT
Farewell day. Transfer to the airport.
